In this course students developed design proposals in response to the need for the protection and enhancment of biodiversity, in collaboration with Naturalis and NS, the National Dutch Railway Network.

Course: Nature Design – From Inspiration to Integration

This class focused on the evolving relationship between design and nature, from formal inspiration in the mid-19th century up to experimental, functional integration addressing the pressures of climate change.

Presented contemporary examples of design and art integrated with biological processes and a hands-on instruction in the crafts of beer, bread and mead-making.
